Meet Dan.
I'm not a builder — let's get that out the way. I was a one-man band contractor for eight, maybe nine years. I loved the work — hated the admin. So it either didn't get done, or got done last minute at the kitchen table. At one point I had £8k of invoices I just never sent. My wife Amy sorted me out back then, and these days she works in finance receiving tradesmen's invoices — late ones, missing ones, wrong ones — so between us we'd seen both ends of the problem.
